Gratitude

There’s comfort in knowing others struggle with the same things I am strugglng with. Thanks for the kind wishes. Great thing about BFAC is it doesn’t matter where you live-we can always connect with one another.

You’re right!

Sometimes I Forget I' m Still Recovering

Sometimes I forget I’m not back to my old self. I forget I can’t eat just any ole thing I want. Sometimes its hard.
I’m trying to organize, pack and clean for my move to Memphis. I have a 6 hour drive next Monday. So, celebrate Easter with my family and then come home and load the car and hit the road.
I wanted to have my place ready to rent but it’s just not going to happen. I don’t have the energy I once had. I’m tired before I start. My house is so disorganized from the past year of treatment and recovery. I go from one thing to another and I’m just making more mess.
Hope everyone has a Blessed Easter.

have a good Easter and do things at your own pace. My place is a mess, its just me, I had lots of stuff happen and if they don’t like it, I say don’t look. LOL Have a wonderful time :)

I agree with Laurie do it at your own pace! I did have a house keeper come in during treatment and for about a year after to help me out, but still feel disorganized am finally to the point where I can concentrate on one thing (closet or whatever at a time) At least I know I am doing it the way I like ( fussy) even though it is so slow going! Have a wonderful time and relax while you are gone Happy Easter to you too! Val

I am guilty of this also – I went back to work too soon and ended up with no energy – none – for over a week. So I will go back at a slower pace.
You have a stressful move coming up and if you can do it, say “this is what I can do, and this is what I can’t do”. Your can do list should be achievable without risking your continued recovery.
Good luck and Happy Easter.

I am actually surprised at how much I have accomplished today. On top of that I got my taxes done. I put it off because I thought I would have to pay. But I didn’t I’m getting a REFUND!
I may not be able to get out of bed in the morning.

Remember that rest is important.

Have a Blessed Easter and a good time with family. I hope your move and new job are a smooth transition.
Try to get snippits of rest between things.
I to understand what you are saying about the condition of the house and moving from one thing to another and not getting much of anything done. Things just get too overwhelming and too tired!
I think (hope?) one of these days I’ll wake up and all will be well. It would be great if the cleaning fairy came to visit while I am asleep!
Take care, Sandyjo

I know how you feel. I have to surrender some things and that is hard, but, there is no other way. I had to pick the things that I want to do and learn to have patience and take my time doing it..love gardening, but, can’t do it all in one day like I use to..now it is in hour blocks..and usually one hour then in bed for 2 or 3..anyway..I get to my housework when I can and do it the best I can when I can..hope you have a great Easter!

We will always have some reminder of Cancer. I’m actually looking for more answers, and looking over my medical insurance navigator page, which shows almost every test and procedure. Knowledge is my way of coping and understanding. Lots of work
moving, but I’m sure it is exciting. Maybe it will give you a fresh
outlook. Good luck!

I agree, it is difficult to realize that we are not the same. I have finally let go of the stress around things not being right, I live with my clutter and enjoy most days. Call it avoidance or denial, it’s my choice. Enjoy your weekend and have a safe trip ;)
xoxo
